About Community of Compassion (CDC)

The CDC was form 7 years ago as a community service vision of our senior pastor Herndon. It took almost four years to begin providing services to the community.

Goals of The Community of Compassion CDC

 

As the CDC in 2008 continues to realize our mission, to improve the quality of life, promote community development, promote neighborhood pride and empower people to attain hope, we also realize the need to continue the vision through programs already set up and develop new programs.  We want our community to have motivation and the skills necessary to reach their personal potential, for families to become self-sufficient.  Helping to change the sociological, economical, educational family structure will enable the Community of Compassion CDC to continue to provide a safe haven, whereby lives and families can be transformed.

 

 Community of Compassion Programs

  1. Cyber Space Cafe and Computer Lab (Microsoft training $5 per class)
  2. Wilson Tutoring Program (Grades 3-8)
  3. Healthy Living Symposiums (Cancer, Hypertension and Diabetes)
  4. Tai Chi
  5. Fitness exercise
  6. Line Dance
